Full-time Employment Opportunities

Membership Engagement Manager – Responsible for ensuring all potential members have an understanding of the opportunities to engage in the organization. This includes the successful culmination of recruitment efforts by initiating and pursuing communications strategies and protocols needed to convert prospective members (leads) to registered members.

Marketing and Communications Specialist – Supports the strategic priorities of the council by developing and executing communications strategies and tactics. Creates, writes, and edits a variety of projects, including printed publications, web content, and social media communications.

Community Development Manager – Implements and manages girl and adult membership growth plans within the geographic area served. This position will work out of the Chillicothe office and supports Fayette, Highland, Hocking, Pickaway, Pike and Ross counties.

Part-time Employment Opportunities

In-School Scouting Facilitator Work directly with students in assigned Columbus City Schools to provide the In‐School Scouting program of Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland Council, Inc. and the Simon Kenton Council, BSA.

Temporary/Seasonal Employment

Council Cupboard Employee – Work at a Council cookie cupboard in Franklin County fulfilling cookie orders for troop volunteers. Involves moving and organizing cookie inventory. This position is 28 hours per week and will run mid-February through March, 2016.

Cookie Cupboard Manager – Work at a Council cookie cupboard in Franklin County managing staff and cookie inventory. Job includes fulfilling troop cookie orders as well as moving and lifting inventory. This position is 30 hours per week and will run mid-February through March, 2016.
