We meet quarterly via Skype and use a closed Facebook group to stay in touch. Once per year, we’ll even pull together with an exclusive, fun retreat. GSOH Performing Choir (GS Seniors, Ambassadors)
Application will be accepted thru Oct. 31
Calling all singers, grades 9-12! If you are willing to commit to one Saturday a month for rehearsal, plus scheduled performances, then you are invited to audition for the council-wide Performing Choir. The choir will focus on patriotic music, Girl Scout songs, Broadway show tunes, classical, folk songs, jazz, popular music, and standard choir music. Girls also may have a chance to perform solo or in duets, dance, accompany the choir on an instrument, arrange music, and design the choir’s logo and more! Tryouts will be scheduled following the submission of a GS Choir application, due Thur., Oct. 30. Some basic choreography will be included, and some portion of the tryout may feature small groups of girls. For more information about the GSOH Performing Choir, check out What Girls Need to Know. Help plan the annual Mall Lock-In! The Mall Lock-In Committee meets once per month from November through April. The 2015 Mall Lock-In Committee will form this fall – watch for details!
Kick Back Camp-In Committee
How do you like to relax? Maybe with crafty art projects, a great book, yoga, or gaming with friends? This is your chance to tell us how you want to kick back and enjoy an overnight event. Girls in grades 6-12 and adults are invited to choose activities and help plan our relaxing Kick-Back Camp-In! For more information, contact email@example.com.
It’s a Girl Thing Planning Committee (GS Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors)
Do you like to help plan events? Are you creative and like to have a fun time? Do you want to make decisions on the workshops and activities that will be offered to girls? If so, we need you to provide your ideas on this exclusive program designed for girls in grades 6-12. The committee meets once per month from October through June. Girl Scout Delegate Advisory Council (GS Seniors and Ambassadors)
This is a unique leadership opportunity! Girls meet quarterly and participate in a variety of leadership building activities throughout the year. Applications for the 2015 Girl Scout Delegate Advisory Council will be available at fall delegate forum meetings.
Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland asks girls 14 years or older to apply to serve as board members (two needed) and member-at-large delegates (10 needed). These girls will serve on our Girl Scout Delegate Advisory Council. Applications for these positions, to be elected at Annual Meeting in April 2015 will be posted this fall.
