How awesome is this? Being a Girl Scout makes you eligible for more scholarships! We know how hard you’ve worked to make the world a better place and we’re excited to support you in your continued leadership journey!
Our council is pleased to offer three (3) scholarships valued at $1,000 each for further education to a graduating high school senior in our council. One (1) scholarship is the Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland Scholarship, and the two (2) other scholarships being awarded are the Kathleen L. Elich Memorial Scholarship. One common application for both opportunities is available below.
GSOH Scholarship Application*: Apply by March 15 during your senior year.
*Applications received prior to the form update will still be considered in their original format. Previous scholarship forms are also still acceptable for 2024 consideration.
Maxwell Scholarship - Provides financial assistance to girls attending a Girl Scout program, a Girl Scout day or resident camp (either within the council or outside the council), or participating in a travel opportunity through the council or Girl Scouts of the USA.

GSUSA offers one scholarship per council valued at $5,000 for us towards higher education. This scholarship application is by invitation only and is sent to all Gold Award recipients during their Senior year of high school.
Our council also offers the Dr. Devon Walters, Gold Award Scholarship, valued at $1,000. This scholarship application is sent to all Gold Award recipients during their Senior year of high school in mid-March each year.
For approved Gold Award projects in progress, our council offers funding support through the Monica Girl Power Fund. Girl Scouts can apply for up to $500 to support their Gold Award project. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. Email highestawards@gsoh.org for application materials.
